“To accomplish your New year resolution, you must have a new day solution, because we do not have bad years, we have a collection of bad days”

1.We Must Have A Conversation With God

1 Chronicles 4:10 (AMP)

10) Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that You would indeed bless me and enlarge my border [property], and that Your hand would be with me, and You would keep me from evil so that it does not hurt me!” And God granted his request.

2. We Must Realize That God Works Through Plans

4) May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.

Proverbs 16:3 (AMP)

3 [a]Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him],And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].

Proverbs 21:5New Living Translation (NLT)

5 Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

3. We Must Have Written Goals

Habakkuk 2:2-3 (AMP)

2 Then the Lord answered me and said,  “Write the vision And engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets So that the one who reads it will run.  3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, because it will certainly come; it will not delay.

Writing Down Your Goals – The Harvard Written Goal Study.

I recently published a post about Why 3% of Harvard MBAs Make Ten Times as Much as the Other 97% Combined.  In that post, I discuss a Harvard study concerning the effects of goal setting, and specifically written goals, on future financial success.  I have since learned that sometimes the study references a Harvard class of 1979, and sometimes a Yale class of 1953.

 Proverbs 29:18Amplified Bible (AMP)

18 Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But happy and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God].

 4. We Must Be On God’s Team

Psalm 37:4-5Amplified Bible (AMP)

4 Delight yourself in the Lord, And He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord; Trust in Him also and He will do it.

5. We Must Trust God’s Path | We Must Confidence In His Plan

Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP)

5 Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight orunderstanding.6 [a]In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].

 1 John 5:14-15 (AMP)

14 This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that [a]if we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us. 15 And if we know [for a fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him.

6. We Must Have Our Live In Order

Proverbs 24:27 (AMP)

27 Prepare your work outside And get it ready for yourself in the field; [a]Afterward build your house and establish a home.

We Must Do The Work

Ecclesiastes 5:3Amplified Bible (AMP)

3 For the dream comes through much effort, and the voice of the fool through many words.

For a dream cometh through a multitude of business, and a fool’s voice is known by a multitude of words. KJ21

7. I Must Have A Giving Goal

Isaiah 32:8New Living Translation (NLT)

8 But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.

8. We Must Forget Our Past Failures

Philippians 3:13-14 (AMP)

13 [a]Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

9. We Must Count The Cost

Luke 14:28-30New Living Translation (NLT)

28 “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? 29 Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you. 30 They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’

10. Take The Limits Off God

Ephesians 3:20Amplified Bible (AMP)

20 Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,

Philippians 4:13Amplified Bible (AMP)

13 I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

11. We Must Focus on the Finish | Keep Our Eyes On The Prize

Hebrews 12:1-2 (AMP)

Jesus, the Example

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of [a]witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, 2 [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross,[b]disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].

12. We Must  Keep Our Confidence

Hebrews 10:35-36 (AMP)

35 Do not, therefore, fling away your [fearless] confidence, for it has a glorious and great reward. 36 For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive andenjoy to the full what is promised.
